Margaret Miller was launched in the summer of 2009 after the overwhelming response designer and owner Margaret Shutze received to the stylish, easy to wear knit dresses she made for herself. Margaret Miller embodies the relaxed lifestyle of growing up on the beach, and always wanting to wear something fashionable, flattering, yet super comfortable. The brand is defined by effortless clothes that travel well and flatter the curves of a woman’s body.
Margaret Shutze grew up between Texas and Fort Lauderdale, surrounded by the exceptionally creative women in her family. She was inspired by her Grandmother, who imported exquisite French fabrics for her retail store and always created beautiful clothes for her grandchildren. Margaret’s grandmother gave her a sewing machine for her birthday in 2006 and she started making dresses with readymade patterns and eventually creating her own designs. As a tribute, Margaret decided to use her grandmother’s maiden name, Miller, as a nod to her inspiration and strength.
Margaret’s mother, Cindy, helped her create the first dress pattern in 2007, which eventually evolved into the Cabo style. With constant feedback from her fashionable sisters and stylish friends, Margaret Miller creates silhouettes to flatter every figure.
